October Is National Women's Small Business Month

{My Dream Office}

In celebration of October's National Women's Small Business Month, I look forward to sharing more about the business side of The Love Channel with Ty.

As a poet and songwriter, I love to write and my blog has become an extension of my love for writing. I haven't talked much about the business side of things and don't typically share how you can shop with me and how much it means to me that you're here.

I earn an income from my blog which right now is not that lucrative, but making it a lucrative woman owned business is the plan. By the end of 2021 the highest percentage of my income will be from my blog and I'll officially be a full time entrepreneur {big smile.}

I've been a little shy about talking about the business side of things. I'm not really sure why that is, but yep, you can shop with me right here on The Love Channel with Ty and via my social media platforms.

This year I've taken advantage of working from home and have utilized a good portion of my time learning more about the business side of things. If you've followed my social media platforms you may have noticed that I post more often. I've learned that posting consistently to my blog and social media platforms garnish the attention of brands that I wish to work with.

The 3 main ways I enjoy earning income from my blog are:

1. Brand Collaborations - For me it's a little intimidating to reach out to a brand I want to work with to propose an idea and then share with them my rates. Along with posting consistently the huge help from you is following me. Thank you so much for that. And when brands see that you engage with the content on The Love Channel with Ty that boosts the possibility of them saying yes to my proposals. And the more the merrier, so feel free to like and comment on my posts and also share the posts with your friends.

2. Influencers Agencies - I've joined a few agencies that sends out emails sharing what brands are looking to advertise their products using bloggers and influencers. The difference here is that I don't nor can I reach out to the brands myself. And instead of me negotiating my rate, the rate of pay is already set. With working with both brands independently and via influencer agencies, the amount of followers typically equals higher pay rates. So again, I have to say thank you so much for following me. :)

3. Affiliate Links - When you click on highlighted links in my blog posts and shop by starting your shopping experience by clicking the highlighted links or a photo on my blog, I receive a commission. Commissions are usually higher when you shop the actual product and I also receive a commission when you shop other products as long as your experience is started via clicking one of my links or photos.

I love what I do and it's one of those things I could do for free, however I prefer to be paid, lol. I dream of and I'm working toward the day where I only punch my own clock. I know that I'll probably have to work harder and longer hours, however earning a living writing, creating and sharing and doing all of the things I love is my dream and makes my heart so, so happy.

I am so appreciative to you guys for following me on this journey and helping to make my dreams come true. I hope you'll stay tuned. I have so much more to share and have an email newsletter coming soon along with some other great tools that will share what's coming up each month on The Love Channel with Ty, ways to shop, giveaways and more.
