Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

I'm so excited for this year's Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Last year I promised myself I would save a little extra moonla so I could treat myself to a couple, maybe even a few inexpensive pieces this year. You lucky Nordstrom card holders have early access and can shop now. Starting this Friday, July 22 through Monday, August 8, the sale is open to everyone. Be sure to check Nordstrom's site often for any updates and changes. And I hear the items on sale go pretty darn fast, so be sure to choose your favorites early.

Speaking of favorites, I'm so in love with the Kendra Scott necklace above. It can be worn different ways which is a favorite for me when buying clothes and jewelry. I love multi way items. And I'm really loving the bohemian feel to this necklace. I think it'll be so cute with a simple dress like the Leith Dolman Dress that can be worn now for summer and also for Fall by adding a super cute and cool looking faux leather jacket. Add some ankle boots and the look is ready for anything from grabbing coffee, to grocery shopping, lunch, brunch or a concert. Plus add some heels in place of the boots and that same dress with necklace is just so cute for a dinner date or girl's night out. It'll be money well spent for a few pieces that can be worn often and worn so many ways.

I love this Phase 3 wool floppy hat. Although I've worn my hair natural for 16 years now, I still have a hard time styling it on some days. In the past I would get frustrated with it. Now I just go with my hair's flow. Sometimes that means pulling it back into a bun and throwing on a cap. Adding a floppy hat is a cute way to give any outfit an instant bohemian feel. Add some shades and the outfit looks effortless and like the look was planned all along.

Another sale item that I'm so loving is the Thread and Supply Double Breasted Peacoat. It's available in four colors. And while I like the black one, the camel color is just rocking my world.

 This Topshop Oversized Cardigan is a love at first sight item. I love nooks and love to snuggle up, curl up, you name it, and just feel all comfy and cozy inside. I'm torn between this one and the peacoat, but I know me, more than likely if my budget reaches its limit and I have to choose, it's going to be this oversized cardigan. It just begs to be worn to an outdoor concert to cozy up with someone or even to enjoy some music under the stars alone. I think this cardigan is cozy enough to enjoy the art of alone. :)

When it comes to shoes, oh my gosh, I wish I could buy a closet full. :) For starters, as I add on a pair here and there, what I would really like to add to my closet is a pair of ankle boots. I have enjoyed walking around Nashville a lot. Plus I think these Vince Camuto Cut Out Booties will also fit the bill when I visit California. The bohemian feel is pretty much the same in both Nashville and the parts of Cali that I enjoy visiting most. They also fit the bill for one of my favorite pastimes which are simply walking around art distracts and stopping inside a new to me coffee shop, pastry shop or little eatery.
